SCHEDULING YOUR DRIVES

  • Drives will be scheduled in 2-hour blocks (1 hour driving and 1 hour observing). 
  • There will be some drives that are one hour.
  • All students need a minimum of 5 hours of driving. 
  • Some students who have purchased additional drives will have more than 5 hours driving and observing.
  • We recommend that students have as many hours of observing as they do driving.  DOL rules require a minimum of one. 
  • Please note during a 2-hour drive you have another student with you who will be driving and observing as well.


You will receive an email confirmation from us once your drive has been confirmed. You can log in to your student account and check your schedule.


NO SHOW DRIVES

Please note that the following will result in a no-show fee of $40:

  • No Permit/expired permit
  • More than 5 minutes late than scheduled time
  • Less than 24 hours notice of cancellation

  • Please be on time

You will need to request each drive individually.  For each drive, you will need to provide 3 time/day options.  This will need to be done for each drive being requested.  For example, if you need to complete 5 drives then you will need to fill the form out 5 times. 


Please use different dates and times for all requests.  5 requests with the same day/time options will most likely result in you getting only some of your drives.


Nelson Driving School recommends that you schedule one drive per week with 2 hours of practice driving between drives.
